After accident immediately (as soon as possible), you must turn to JSIC Seesam Latvia or to the companies of our experts.
What is to be done if you are involved in a traffic accident:

Stop the vehicle, turn on the emergency alarm and post the emergency triangle.

If any person is injured in the result of the accident, do everything possible to provide medical first aid. Call the ambulance by phone 03 or 112.

If any person is injured in the result of the accident, or property of a third party has been damaged, or the vehicles have got damages due to which the vehicles are unable or prohibited to participate in the road traffic, call the Traffic Police by phone 112.

Before arrival of the Traffic Police officers, do not move the vehicle or touch any objects that are related to the accident; follow the instructions of the Traffic Police officers.

Obtain information on the vehicle that caused the traffic accident. Write down its registration data as well as the MTPL insurance company and the MTPL policy data.

In the case of a minor traffic accident, fill in the Accident Statement.
Accident Statement is a set of forms, which makes it possible to register a road traffic accident without involvement of the Traffic Police and allows the insurer to decide on compensation of losses to the victim. You can get the Agreed Statement forms at any insurance company.
General requirements in the case of occurrence of a MTPL accident when you wish to receive insurance indemnity:

Make every effort to prevent or reduce the extent of the damage.

Report the insured event to a regional office of AAS Seesam Latvia in Riga, Daugavpils, Liepāja, Valmiera or Ventspils or to an expert company of AAS Seesam Latvia. If your vehicle is out of order or if you cannot come to an office of our company:

Fill in the insurance claim form electronically in our homepage;

Or print out the claim form, fill it in and sent it to the fax No. 67 06 10 40

or send it to the e-mail address: auto(a)seesam.lv or seesam(a)seesam.lv

or deliver it personally to the AAS Seesam Latvia Claims Department,
Riga, Vienības Gatve 87H, 4th floor -
or deliver it personally to a regional office of AAS Seesam Latvia in Riga, Daugavpils, Liepāja, Valmiera or Ventspils or deliver it personally to an expert company of AAS Seesam Latvia.
If the victim is a legal entity, the natural person, who will submit the claim about the accident must have a power of attorney issued by this legal entity.
