After accident immediately (as soon as possible), but not later than within 30 days, you must turn to Seesam.

In case of travel annulment you have to inform insurant before travel start date.

What to do if there has occurred the case of the insurance during the travel:

If there has happened the accident during the travel:

  1. Visit the doctor immediately.
  2. Follow the doctor’s instruction.
  3. In case of illness call to Seesam, phone: +371 67 06 10 00.
  4. If your expenses are not big and you can pay, then keep the doctor’s extract and the cheques, which you must submit in Seesam after the end of the travel.
  5. In case of big expenses, please contact Seesam (on working days from 8:30 – 17:30, phone.: +371 67 06 10 32) and you will have the guaranteed payment of the bill.

If there is the delay of the flight or baggage:

  1. Get to know the time, when the flight can continue.
  2. In case of the baggage delay, turn to the airport staff and ask the notice about the baggage delay.
  3. Save the cheques about the additional expenses.

In order to receive the insurance indemnity, you submit the following documentation:

In case of the flight delay

  • Fulfilled the claim application.
  • The passport copy.
  • The notice of the air company about the flight delay or cancellation.
  • If you were moved to another flight, then the notice about the flight change and route.
  • Airline tickets.
  • Cheques for the additional expenses, which have occurred due to the flight delay/ cancellation.

In case of the baggage delay

  • The filled claim demand.
  • The passport copy.
  • The notice of the air company about the baggage delay.
  • Airline tickets and talons of the baggage.
  • Cheques for the performed purchases.

In case of baggage damages

  • The filled claim demand.
  • The passport copy.
  • The notice of the air company about the baggage damages.
  • Airline tickets and talons of the baggage.
  • The photo of the baggage bags/ suitcases (if there is not the possibility to take the picture, you can bring the damaged bag/ suitcase to JSIC Seesam Latvia).
  • The notice from the repair service about the condition of the bag/ suitcase.
  • If you cannot repair the bag (and it is approved by the repair service), then the cheques for the purchase of the similar bag/ suitcase.

In case of the baggage loss

  • The filled claim demand.
  • The passport copy.
  • The notice of the air company about the baggage is lost.
  • The notice from the airport about the baggage delay.
  • Airline tickets and talons of the baggage.

In case of the travel annulment

  • The filled claim demand.
  • The passport copy.
  • The notice from the travel agency about the foreseen travel and about the fact if the travel company will compensate the expenses.
  • The document, which will approve the validity of the travel annulment reason (the doctor’s notice about the sudden illness, the doctor’s notice about the sudden illness of the relative of the 1st level, the notice of the police about the road accident, in which the insured person is the victim, etc.).
