On Change of Shareholders of JSIC Seesam Latvia

„Pohjola Non-Life Insurance Company” Ltd., which is the leading insurance company in Finland, has become the sole shareholder and owner of JSIC Seesam Latvia

A logical redistribution of functions and responsibilities has been carried out within the ''OP-Pohjola Group'' - the largest financial group in Finland – by transferring 100% of the shares of the Seesam non-life insurance companies actively operating in the Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian markets to the non-life insurance company „Pohjola Non-Life Insurance Company” Ltd. which is a member of the Group. This ascertains the fact that the ''OP-Pohjola'' Group is interested in and wished to develop operations of the Seesam non-life insurance companies in the Baltic Countries in the long term.

About „OP-Pohjola” Group

As per 31.12.2009 the total assets of the „OP-Pohjola” Group amounted to 80.43 billion Euro, but the onw capital of the Group - 6.19 billion Euro.

Market share of ''Pohjola Non-Life Insurance Company” Ltd. which is a company of this Group, is 27%, and this company is the largest non-life insurance company in Finland. The international rating agency Standard & Poor`s has conferred the insurer’s safety rating A+ to „Pohjola Non Life Insurance Company”. This rating is one of the highest among the Scandinavian insurance companies.
